Welcome to Living Well with Amy ❤️

If you've ever looked at your life and thought...

“This is NOT how I thought this season was going to go.”

Pull up a chair.

You're among friends here.

Living Well with Amy is a place for women navigating real life, midlife, faith, change, starting over, perimenopause and all the beautiful, messy and sometimes downright hilarious moments in between.

My hope is simple:

That when you leave here, you feel a little more encouraged, a little more understood and a little less alone.

Hi, I'm Amy

I'm a woman who loves Jesus and has lived enough life to know that following God doesn't mean everything turns out exactly the way we planned.

I've walked through beautiful seasons.

I've walked through heartbreaking ones.

I've raised children, experienced divorce, started over, rebuilt my life, watched seasons end that I wasn't quite ready to let go of and stepped into new ones I never expected.

I've laughed.

I've cried.

I've questioned God.

I've trusted God.

I've had to start over more than once.

And somewhere along the way, I discovered something:

Living well doesn't mean living a perfect life.

It means learning to find faith, joy, purpose, laughter and God's presence right in the middle of the life you're actually living.

That's what this little corner of the internet is about.

Around Here, We Talk About Real Life

You'll find plenty of faith and encouragement here—but we're also going to laugh.

A LOT. 😂

Because sometimes self-care looks like spending quiet time with God.

Sometimes it looks like setting a healthy boundary.

Sometimes it looks like taking the trip.

And apparently sometimes it looks like standing outside your workplace repeatedly pressing your car key because your perimenopausal brain has temporarily forgotten that YOU CANNOT UNLOCK A BUILDING WITH A HONDA KEY.

Welcome to my life. 😂

Around here you'll find:

❤️ Faith & Encouragement
Honest conversations about trusting God, starting over, emotional wellness and holding onto hope when life gets hard.

🌸 The Perimenopause Diaries
Brain fog, hot flashes, emotions, body changes and all the things somebody really should have warned us about.

🌿 Living Well & Self-Care
Learning to care for your mind, body and soul without feeling guilty about it—because self-care isn't selfish. It's stewardship.

😂 Real Life With Amy
Marriage, family, travel, work, embarrassing moments, lessons learned and whatever else life decides to throw at me.

Why I Share My Story

I'm an actress, author and evangelist, and years ago God placed a message deeply in my heart:

Don't give up.

That message became a book and eventually a feature film—but more importantly, it became something I had to learn to live.

Because I've discovered that sometimes the person who needs to hear “don't give up” the most is the woman saying it to everyone else.

Living Well with Amy grew from that same heart.

I'm not here because I have everything figured out.

I don't.

I'm here because I believe there is tremendous power when one woman is brave enough to say:

“Me too.”

Me too, I've struggled.

Me too, I've had to start over.

Me too, I've wondered what God was doing.

Me too, I've laughed when I probably should have cried.

And me too...

I'm still here.

Where Should You Start?

If you're new here, don't feel like you need to dig through years of posts.

Start wherever you need encouragement today.

Need a laugh? Start with the Perimenopause Diaries.

Going through a difficult season? Read some of my faith and encouragement posts.

Trying to take better care of yourself without the guilt? Explore my Christian self-care posts.

And if you're somewhere between praying for God's direction and wondering where you left your phone...

You'll fit in just fine here. 😂❤️

From Surviving to Living Well

Ultimately, that's what I want for every woman who finds this page.

Not perfection.

Not a picture-perfect life.

Living well.

Moving from simply surviving your season to recognizing that God still has joy, purpose, growth and beautiful moments for you right where you are.

So stay awhile.

Read.

Laugh.

Be encouraged.

And most importantly, remember:

You don't have to walk through this season alone.

Welcome to Living Well with Amy.

I'm really glad you're here. ❤️

— Amy
